MEET COACH DAKOTA

Former Professional Quarterback. Championship Coach. Mom. Mentor.

I’ve spent years playing, coaching, and teaching the game I love—but DH Flag Football was built for something even bigger:

Creating opportunities for the next generation that I never had growing up.

WHY I DO THIS

I BUILT WHAT I WISH I HAD GROWING UP.

Growing up, I loved football—but I never really had the opportunity to play.

Most of my experience came from throwing the football around in the backyard with my dad. In high school, I counted down to our annual powder puff game because it was the one night I actually got to step onto the field, be coached, and play the game.

I loved every second of it.

But when that night was over, so was my opportunity.

There weren’t teams for girls like me. There wasn’t a clear path to keep playing. And there certainly wasn’t the kind of flag football world athletes are growing up in today.

That experience has stayed with me throughout my entire journey.

FROM PLAYER TO COACH.

After six seasons playing professionally, I transitioned into coaching and helped build Sequoyah High School’s girls flag football program.

It gave me the opportunity to watch young athletes receive something I never had growing up:

THEN I BECAME A MOM.

After coaching, I stepped away to focus on my biggest role yet—being a mom to my daughter.

And while she grew up, flag football grew too.

Today, she has opportunities I never had. Girls can start playing young, compete through high school, pursue college opportunities, and dream about playing on the Olympic stage.

That means everything to me.
