Buy NowWhy Football 101 Exists...
- Newer coaches usually have the same problems
- You’re unsure what to teach first, and everything feels urgent.
- Practices turn into chaos because you don’t have a plan or a progression.
- Players don’t understand spacing, assignments, or game situations.
- You know effort is there, but execution is inconsistent.
- You want to help your athletes, but you don’t want to “wing it” all season.
Flag Football 101 fixes that by giving you a simple system: learn the game, organize practice, coach with clarity, and build confidence for you and your athletes.

About Coach Dakota
My Story
Growing up, I never had the opportunity to play football. The only chance I got was in the backyard with my dad. In high school, I looked forward to our annual powder puff game—a single night where we were coached by senior football players. It was the highlight of my high school career, but outside of that, there were no real opportunities for girls to play.
When I got to college, I discovered coed intramural flag football and instantly fell in love with the game. That passion led me to an incredible opportunity to try out and play professionally in women’s flag football. I seized the chance and never looked back. After years of competing at the highest level, I transitioned into coaching, leading Sequoyah High School’s inaugural flag football team. Thanks to Arthur Blank and the Atlanta Falcons, flag football was introduced to high schools across Georgia, giving countless girls their first real chance to play.
After coaching for a few years, I took a step back to focus on my biggest role yet—being a mom to my daughter. Fast forward, and now both my daughter and the sport of flag football have grown tremendously. The most incredible part? She now has the opportunity I never had. She can start playing at four years old, continue through high school, and even pursue the game at the collegiate level or in the Olympics. The game has evolved, and girls now have real opportunities to play, compete, and excel.
I founded DH Flag Football Academy to create even more opportunities for girls to learn and master the game at a high level. If this academy helps just one girl make her school team or inspires her to chase her dreams, then it's all worth it. Seeing the girls I once coached now playing at the collegiate level—and even stepping into coaching roles themselves—is the most rewarding part of my journey.
Football has always been bigger than just the game. I was fortunate to have coaches who shaped me as both a player and a person, and now, I’m honored to pass the torch to the next generation.
